thebreakpad - About us We also have a very successful team that we support.....TEAM BREAKPAD Our Qualified Instructors: Mark Wilcox - Scottish Downhill Champ 2008 and Fort William NPS winner 2008 Mark has 19 years experience, and has been racing Down Hill since 2001. He can take you through some of the difficult and technical sections, and demonstrate the correct technique, breaking skills down into simple step by step pieces. (A reasonable level of skill and fitness is required). Mark's favourite type of riding is steep and rocky technical singletrack. See Mark's RED to BLACK Skills Course. Sam Hill - (SMBLA) Downhill World Champion (not really, but sounds good!!) Sam has been riding mountain bikes for over 15 years, and after university she picked up a watersports magazine and a bike magazine and instead o f buying a Canadian Canoe, she bought her first mountain bike; a Marin Rocky Ridge and hasn't looked back..... She has mountain biked in many parts of the world including Utah, France and New Zealand. Sam's favourite trail is technical sections of singletrack and the fast flowing trails that Kirroughtree has to offer. She is a qualified CYTECH mechanic and a Teacher of PE. Sam can take you through some of the skills that can up your level of confidence and bike handling, such as cornering, technical sections, selecting the right gear, and looking at your body position on your bike.
