Sam Hill - Downhill World Champion (not really, but sounds good!!)

Sam has been riding mountain bikes for over 17 years, and after university she picked up a watersports magazine and a bike magazine and instead of buying a Canadian Canoe, she bought her first mountain bike; a Marin Rocky Ridge and hasn't looked back..... She has mountain biked in many parts of the world including Utah, Canada, France and New Zealand. Sam's favourite trail is technical sections of singletrack and the fast flowing trails that Kirroughtree has to offer. She is a qualified MBL (Mountain bike Leader) CYTECH level 2 mechanic and a Teacher of PE. Sam can take you through some of the skills that can up your level of confidence and bike handling, such as cornering, technical sections, selecting the right gear, and looking at your body position on your bike.

Dave Thornton - (AKA Pacman - cos he's alway eating) 10@Kirroughtree 4's winner 2011

Dave's is a talented bike mechanic. His main duties include servicing the hire fleet and workshop duties. Dave is fast becoming a bike nerd, and knows the exact names for the thingame that attaches to the thingame. He's recently purchased himself a Trek XO CycloCross bike.....so we'll see him riding that down the shoot on youtube very soon!! Dave's got his CYTECH mechanic qualification.

When Ruth is not busy riding her bike, she is at hand to help you get your bike up and running. Ruth is a Qualified CYTECH level 2 mechanic and a qualified MBL (Mountain bike Leader) and BASP first aid. Ruth now rides a 2011 Yeti ASR5....nice bit of bling!
